As a Lubrication Technician, youll be providing a various range of rotating and static equipment lubrication services. Youll spend the majority of your time working on-site for our clients, in regular contact with company personnel and the customer. To succeed in this role youll need a good electronic/mechanical background, be meticulous in your approach, and be confident providing client facing services on-site.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Confidently carry out lubrication activities such as oiling, greasing, oil changes and collecting oil samples
2. Perform basic first pass analysis and identify faults that are a potential threat to a clients reliability program
3. Update client CMMS systems, reporting on what has been performed
4. Demonstrate to the client a high level of service is always being delivered in a professional manner
5. Promote company services where appropriate when interacting, seizing opportunities to cross sell
6. Deliver specific asset management services to improve client equipment availability & reliability
7. Ensure services are delivered on time and in accordance with approved technical, operational, and HSEQ standards
8. Effectively report to line management regarding operational objectives, achievements, opportunities or risk
9. Co-operate with peers on future business development, advising management of potential new business opportunities
10. Ensure Method Statements, COSHH Assessments, Risk Assessments and SOPs are in place, informing management if documentation is incorrect or missing and report any HSEQ issues
11. Be responsible for you own work, organising the delivery of all specified site services, assisting the Site/Operations Manager to optimise performance, in compliance with all business systems, processes and standards
12. Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained in a serviceable condition and within the calibration QAP control procedure
Skill & Experience
Essential
13. HNC in Maintenance/Engineering discipline
14. 4 years experience with mechanical systems (Pumps, Fans, Gearboxes, Blowers etc.) and/or Lubrication Technologies
15. Ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure
16. Demonstrable ability to investigate and solve problems as they arise
17. Effective and confident communicator
Desirable
18. HND or above, HSEQ experience, mechanical apprenticeship
19. Condition Monitoring data collection or experience (specific training will be provided)
20. Experience in Machinery Alignment and/or Mechanical Seals
21. Excellent awareness of industrial equipment operation /maintenance and compliance / regulations
22. Senior CM/Team Leading experience of multi-skilled teams for a services provider
23. Ability to lead small teams and basic contract management
24. Flexible approach to travel and time away from home location (if required)
25. Performed lubrication activities or Lubrication Management (Although training can be provided)
