ROLE: Legal Secretary LOCATION: Lincoln SALARY: Competitive based on Experience HOURS: 9am – 5.15pm Monday to Wednesday BENEFITS: 33 days' annual leave inclusive of bank and other public holidays including birthday leave Life Insurance at 3x salary Employee Assistance Programme including counselling, 24/7 GP access, physiotherapy, gym discounts and cashback benefits An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join our Family Law team in Lincoln, supporting an assigned Solicitor/Legal Executive with day‑to‑day secretarial and administrative duties. This is a varied role, helping ensure files progress smoothly and clients receive a professional, responsive and compassionate service. You will provide high‑quality secretarial support within a busy family law environment, including matters involving divorce and financial remedy, where sensitivity, discretion and attention to detail are essential. You will undertake the following but not limited to: Preparing correspondence, documents and court paperwork Managing client files accurately in line with firm procedures and compliance requirements Diary management, organising appointments and supporting day‑to‑day file progression Handling client calls professionally, exercising judgement around urgency and escalation Supporting time recording, billing processes and general file administration Assisting with basic initial client instructions where appropriate You will enjoy this role if you are: An experienced Secretary in a similar role Confident producing accurate documents at pace and managing competing priorities Professional, calm and empathetic when dealing with sensitive client matters Organised, reliable and discreet, with strong attention to detail Comfortable learning legal systems, processes and compliance requirements Experience within a Family Law department, particularly divorce and financial remedy work, is desirable but not essential.
