Volunteer position for someone with strong grant writing or fundraising strategy experience who is committed to our mission. You will lead the design/implementation of a sustainable grants strategy to cover operational and programme costs.

What are we looking for?
Ideal Candidate Proven success securing five- and six-figure grants (DESIRABLE) Understands core vs project funding and funder expectations Familiar with funders like National Lottery, Arts Council, Paul Hamlyn, Esmée Fairbairn, City Bridge Trust, etc. Passionate about racial justice, trauma recovery, and systemic change Self-motivated and looking for a long-term principal role in a Black-led movement
What will you be doing?
This is not a short-term, one-off bid-writing role. We're seeking someone who sees this as a long-term journey. Key ResponsibilitiesGrant Strategy & Pipeline Design a monthly/quarterly grants calendar to secure consistent income Research and apply for relevant UK-based grants from trusts, foundations, and public funds Write compelling bids that reflect our mission and lived experiences Maintain a funding tracker including deadlines and reporting requirements Sustainable Income Secure multi-year and unrestricted core funding Build a diversified funding portfolio Support the CIC's 12-month and 3-year financial roadmap Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with funders Draft reports, budgets, and impact summaries Contribute to community-led case studies and evaluation data Collaboration Work alongside the Founder and Outreach & Partnerships lead Attend monthly in-person London team meetings (refreshments/travel covered) Share progress and funding milestones openly
