Estimator (Electrical)Location: Milton Keynes (Office Based)Salary: Up to £60,000 + PackageSector: Construction / Building Services / M&EThe CompanyA well-established multi-disciplinary contractor delivering projects across Facilities Management, M&E, Small Works, and Design & Build construction projects throughout the UK.The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial projects and is continuing to grow its pre-construction and estimating function due to an increasing pipeline of work.The RoleAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator (Electrical ) to join a growing pre-construction team based in Milton Keynes.The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing electrical packages across a range of commercial projects, working closely with operations, commercial, and project delivery teams to produce accurate and competitive tenders.This role would suit someone with a strong electrical background who understands both technical delivery and commercial pricing within construction or building services environments.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed electrical estimates and cost plans from drawings, specifications, and tender documentsReview project documentation and identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering optionsProduce accurate take-offs and pricing for labour, materials, subcontractors, and equipmentLiaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotationsSupport bid submissions and tender presentationsWork closely with project managers and commercial teams during handover stagesAttend site visits and pre-tender meetings where requiredMaintain strong knowledge of current market rates and industry trendsRequirementsEssentialPrevious experience as an Electrical Estimator within construction or building servicesStrong understanding of electrical installations and M&E systemsExperience pricing commercial fit-out, FM, refurbishment, or construction projectsAbility to interpret technical drawings and specificationsCommercially aware with strong attention to detailExcellent communication and organisational skillsDesirableExperience within multi-disciplinary contractors or M&E contractorsElectrical qualifications or trade backgroundExperience using estimating softwareKnowledge of both small works and larger project tendersTPBN1_UKTJ
