Role: Fractional People Director (part-time)
Location: Bristol
Start Date: ASAP
Reports to: CEO and Founder
* Design and own the organisation's HR strategy, ensuring it is directly aligned with long-term business objectives and growth phases.
* Act as a trusted advisor to the Founders and Executive team on all complex people-related matters.
* Provide high-level, commercially informed HR guidance to senior stakeholders to support scaling and organisational maturity.
* Provide expert advice and oversight on complex or sensitive people matters, including seni or - l evel grievances, conduct, or legal risks.
* Monitor the business's exposure to employment law risks and ensure the leadership team is informed and compliant.
Design of People Frameworks
* Lead the design of compensation and benefits structures, equity/EM I schemes, and career levelling frameworks.
* Define the organisation's approach to performance management and professional development.
* Provide final sign-off on HR policies and frameworks to ensure they meet best-practice standards.
Leadership Coaching & Culture
* Build confidence and accountability across the senior leadership team, coaching them on high-level decision-making and team management.
* Play a central role in shaping the organisational culture, ensuring values are embedded into the business as it scales.
* Lead on organisational development and major change in itiatives as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Significant experience as an HR Director, Head of People, or Senior HRBP, ideally within a high-growth tech or startup environment.
* Demonstrable experience operating as the most senior HR professional, reporting directly to CEOs or Boards.
* Deep working knowledge of employment legislation with the ability to manage high-stakes risk independently.
* Exceptionally confident in managing complex stakeholder relationships and sensitive executive- level situations.
