Job Description: The Accounting Assistant Manager will support the Accounting Manager in overseeing accounting transactions, controls, and processes across the business. This role will help drive continuous improvement, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support key stakeholders across finance and the wider organisation. Key Responsibilities: Support the review and accuracy of all accounting transactions and balance sheet controls. Assist in developing the future vision and continuous improvement of the accounting function. Identify and implement process and efficiency improvements. Develop and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs. Build strong relationships with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, FP&A, and IT. Lead, coach, and support the accounting team to meet deadlines and performance standards. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls (including Bill 198). Act as a key contact for SAP development and support system or process changes. Provide ad‑hoc support and cover within the accounting team as required. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Qualified Accountant with at least 2 years’ post‑qualification experience. Strong knowledge of IFRS. Excellent financial, analytical, and reporting skills. Highly organised, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships. Advanced Excel skills and SAP knowledge desirable. Adaptable, detail‑focused, and able to see the wider business impact.
