JOB DETAILS — JOB BAND: C; CONTRACT TYPE: 12 month Fixed-term Contract; DEPARTMENT: BBC Children in Need; LOCATION: Salford; PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £34,000 - £37,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. We’re happy to discuss flexible working. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
BBC Children in Need believes that every child should have the chance to thrive and be the best they can be. Our marketing team helps enable this through our social, email and website channels. The role delivers consistent and engaging video content for digital marketing channels, working closely with the digital and marketing team to ensure all content delivers on the agreed social and marketing strategy, maximising engaged reach and conversion with the account’s target audience.

You will gain a wide range of experience including working with colleagues across digital, graphics production, marketing and social media engagement. You will be supported by our approachable digital marketing team and design team in a creative and fun environment.
Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
* Produce and edit video content working closely with the Digital Marketing team. Developing campaign ideas into digital marketing content.
* Be the lead videographer for specific shoots, developing treatment ideas, directing, managing content creation and briefing contributors.
* Optimise digital assets for social, including editing aspect ratio and dimensions, adding captions, transitions, motion graphics etc.
* Produce and edit video content that can be used digitally, internally and potentially for broadcast channels, using relevant audio / video hardware, native social platform tools and relevant multimedia software (such as Adobe CS).
* Key contact for freelance videographer and editors where required, providing briefs, and remotely directing edits ensuring deadlines are met. Awareness of working to budget requirements with freelancers.
Essential Criteria
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Proven project management ideally within a social media environment.
* Self-shooting on broadcast quality cameras.
* Good Adobe CS video/image editing skills; attention to detail with good editorial judgment, accuracy and sensitivity.
* Able to critically evaluate ideas and information.
* Knowledge of the broadcasting and charity sectors and a demonstrable interest in its output.
Desired But Not Required
* Developer skills where relevant to social media and digital production.
* Social media campaign experience.
* Interviewing for digital content.
