Academics are currently recruiting a compassionate and adaptable Primary Supply Teacher with experience supporting pupils with a PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profile to work across our partner primary schools in Skipton and the surrounding areas.

This role is ideal for a teacher with experience across the primary age range who is confident working in different school settings and skilled in using flexible, low-demand, relationship-based approaches to support children with additional needs.
The successful candidate will: Have experience teaching within primary school settings Demonstrate a strong understanding of PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) and effective classroom strategies Be confident delivering pre-planned lessons while adapting expectations to meet individual pupil needs Use a calm, nurturing and emotionally informed approach to behaviour and regulation Maintain positive classroom routines while recognising the need for flexibility Be professional, reliable and adaptable for short-term, long-term or emergency cover Adjust quickly to different school environments, staff teams and expectations Academics works closely with a wide range of North Yorkshire primary schools, offering regular and flexible supply opportunities, particularly for teachers xxuwjjq with experience in SEND and neurodiversity.
