Our client, a busy housing association in Kirkby, are looking for an experienced Caretaker to join their team and play a crucial role in their maintenance operations. Position: Caretaker Rate: £17 per hour (Umbrella) Contract Duration: Temp (Sep 2026) Possible Extension Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite Purpose: To provide a safe and well maintained environment by carrying out general maintenance and caretaking duties in accordance with the needs and expectations of the customer and the business. Job Responsibilities: Undertake site reactive repairs and maintenance duties serving as a first point of contact for customers and working in accordance with local and legislative procedures. Assist in undertaking building checks and audits to ensure safe and secure environments for all stakeholders, ensuring compliance with health and safety and emergency procedures and regulations. Undertake waste management and cleaning in accordance with the specific site requirements and schedules. Job Requirements: Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation - Desirable. British Institute Certificate in cleaning services (BICS) - Desirable. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
