Located on the western fringe of Carlisle, a short distance from Carlisle city centre and with excellent transport links to the Lake District, Morton Academy is a popular, over-subscribed 11-16 school with a shared sixth form at its sister academy, Central. The state-of-the-art school is at the heart of its community and is proud to be the school of choice in the area.
Morton Academy has seen significant improvements since joining United Learning, the largest academy trust in England, in 2014. The academy has a good proportion of students achieving well at GCSE. It is recognized for very good behaviour standards, excellent pastoral care, and a strong commitment to student safety. The mission is to have students ‘Made in Morton’ but ready to take their place in the world. The school fosters a happy environment built on solid relationships and an open culture.

The role involves ensuring teachers have the necessary resources and equipment for the science curriculum, assisting with demonstrations, providing technical support to students and staff, and advising on health and safety procedures.
