Salary: Grade 4, £19,243 - £20,177 per annum (£13.26 - £13.90 per hour)
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 1 week working 39 weeks per year
Contract Period: 3 November 2025 – 31 August 2026 (in the first instance)
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8:15am – 3:15pm (Lunch: 30 minutes)
Temporary post due to SEN funding. Required from November 2025.
Responsibilities
The Governors wish to appoint a committed Departmental Teaching Assistant to join the Learning Support Team. The role includes:
* Supporting and facilitating learning for specific learners, with one-to-one support within a subject area to ensure that statemented pupils access the curriculum.
* Working under the direction of the SENCo as part of a wider support team, with the ability to work autonomously when required.
* Supporting pupils who may exhibit challenging behaviour.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Ability to work with pupils who may exhibit challenging behaviour (experience in this field is an advantage).
* Supportive of the ethos and values of the school, with the ability to encourage and motivate pupils.
* Positive, humorous, and committed to developing a positive school culture with high expectations.
