What this job involves:
The Benefits Design SME and Business Partner is responsible for providing local and regional business leaders and HR Business Partners with benefits advice and consulting in alignment with the Global Benefits Philosophy, Strategy, and Objectives. Conducts analysis, develops financials, and creates new and/or updates existing communications. Prepares recommendations/presentations for the Leadership and key stakeholders. Coordinates work and manages various benefits projects with local/global support. Provides benefits consulting and guidance to HR Directors/Managers, HR Coordinators, Benefits Operations, and other key stakeholders.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
* Partner with country, regional, and global HR and business leaders to develop benefit program recommendations aligned with the global strategy and local needs, including pensions, healthcare, insured risk benefits, car benefits, wellbeing programs, and other perks.
* Support annual benefit renewals in collaboration with local brokers, HR, and leadership.
* Stay informed on industry trends, legislative changes, and external competitiveness; participate in actuarial and funding reviews; collaborate with finance and legal teams on cost and legal implications.
* Research benefits best practices through surveys and networking; analyze and recommend entry into new countries.
* Assist with rollout of new benefit programs, resource estimation, compliance issues, timelines, and process standards.
* Review processes and policies for legal compliance; monitor legislative changes; prepare and present benefit proposals for approval.
* Support due diligence during mergers, acquisitions, and organic growth.
* Maintain knowledge of benefits legislation to ensure compliance.
Desired skills and experience:
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
* CEBS or GRP designation preferred.
Required skills and experience:
* Experience in employee benefits, including international benefits, design, and funding; familiarity with global benefits concepts and practices.
