1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - EYFS (September Start, Full-Time) Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Permanent, Full-time (35 hrs/week, Mon-Fri) The Role Provide dedicated, personalised support on a 1:1 basis to a child with special educational needs within our EYFS class. Assist the EYFS teacher in delivering high-quality, inclusive early years learning experiences in both group and independent settings. Help build a safe, welcoming environment, including setting up stimulating continuous provision and leading focused interventions (e.g., phonics, speech & language). Contribute to observations, assessments, and planning next steps in partnership with EYFS staff. Collaborate closely with the SENCO, class teacher, parents, and outside professionals to support the pupil's progress. Support routines, personal care, mealtimes, behaviour strategies, and wellbeing in line with our EYFS framework. What We're Looking For Level 2 (or above) qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or similar), or equivalent experience in an EYFS setting Experience working 1:1 with children with additional needs (SEN/SEND). Knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and child development. Strong communication skills and the ability to establish nurturing relationships. Patience, flexibility, empathy, and a positive, child-centred approach.
