The Elms Day nursery is currently looking for level 3 qualified practitioners to work in their setting in Edgbaston. The nursery has a brilliant team of staff and the nursery itself is a beautiful setting. The nursery offers so much more than just childcare, they provide a safe, nurturing, and caring environment where young children can thrive. They have a forest school, a sensory room, and they hold Millie’s Mark 2017, so all of their staff members are paediatric first aid trained.
Your new role
This is a temporary role where you will work shifts most weeks, Monday to Friday. Your shifts can start from 7:30am and they can finish at
6pm (the hours are flexible and there are not just full days of work). You will be expected to support and maintain the daily routines of the children, provide a high-quality, stimulating and inclusive learning environment and ensure that the elements of observation and assessment (observe, plan, play and learn together) are implemented from the earliest stage.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential that you have a minimum of a Level 3 Early Years qualification, as well as be open to continuous learning and developing personally and professionally. A successful candidate will have
The ability to prioritise and organise themselves effectively and also show a keen dedication to engage, encourage and develop
The learning and well-being of children. You must have previous experience in a nursery setting and be flexible with your hours. Nappy changing/ personal care is also essential.
