Job Description
As a Project Engineer, you will support the Project Manager or Construction Manager in managing assigned work from initiation to closeout. Your duties will encompass all aspects of work delivery as directed by the Project or Construction Manager, ensuring that the work is conducted safely, on time, and effectively to completion.
Please note: Potential candidates must be able to obtain and retain CTC (Counter Terrorist Check) security clearance to be considered for this position. This requires a minimum of 3 years residence in the UK.
Responsibilities
1. Identify, implement, and comply with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards, company procedures and policies, and relevant legislative requirements.
2. Assist the Project Manager with daily activities required to deliver work in accordance with the project plan, including safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
3. Prepare and maintain engineering documentation such as Quality Plans and other required documents.
4. Ensure the production of technical specifications and support the contractor selection and contract award processes.
5. Review technical documentation, including contractor documents and drawings.
6. Manage technical queries in accordance with established processes and procedures.
7. Conduct technical assessments of project options, feasibility studies, site surveys, and liaise with designers and station engineering staff as needed.
8. Prepare engineering change documentation and oversee the preparation of related documents.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Relevant project experience in engineering or construction, including application of project management processes.
* Technical experience involving preparation, review, and approval of technical documentation, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
* Experience working in a project and operational environment.
* Proven track record as a project coordinator, engineer, or manager.
* HND or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
