About the Role
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Class Teacher to work in a SEN secondary school in Northamptonshire. This role is ideal for teachers who are passionate about supporting students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their potential, and promoting confidence, independence, and learning.
You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver personalised learning experiences, support individual student needs, and create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students with special educational needs.
2. Support the social, emotional, and academic development of all students in the class.
3. Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and promote inclusivity.
4. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and reporting to relevant staff.
5. Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to support student learning.
6. Maintain a safe, positive, and structured learning environment.
7. Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school behaviour policies at all times.
Requirements
8. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
9. Experience teaching in a SEN setting or working with students with additional needs is highly desirable.
10. Strong communication, patience, and classroom management skills.
11. Ability to deliver differentiated lessons to support a wide range of abilities.
12. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Tradewind Recruitment).
