Onyx is the agency designed for TikTok. We are founded by ex-TikTok employees and industry leaders.

There is a huge shift in the media landscape as a new generation of consumers engages with social media to research products and shape their buying decisions rather than searching in traditional channels.

Our mission is to guide brands on how they can maximise the exploding social commerce opportunity on TikTok and drive meaningful results for their business.

About The Role

Our team is growing, therefore you’ll have the amazing opportunity to help us build the Onyx business and culture, drive unique value for our clients and lead the way in TikTok Commerce.

We’re looking for a French and German-speaking Social Media Executive who lives and breathes TikTok culture, knows how to spark engagement, and understands what makes Gen Z and Millennial audiences tick.

This role is for an initial 6 month fixed term contract with a possibility to transition to a permanent role

You will;

Act as the expert and trusted advisor on TikTok organic content strategy and community management, deeply understanding each client’s business needs.

Manage content calendars and scheduling, including writing on-brand, SEO-optimized captions.

Collaborate with the content and production teams to provide real-time community feedback that shapes content direction.

Own TikTok community building by:

Engaging daily with followers via comments, DMs, mentions, and TikTok Lives in the brand voice.

Sparking conversations, reposting UGC, and driving participation in challenges and trends.

Monitoring sentiment and trends, and sharing actionable community insights with the wider team.

Lead creator partnerships: from outreach and negotiation to content delivery and performance reporting, including always-on gifting.

Coordinate with the production manager to ensure timely delivery of content to brand channels.

Own reporting and analytics, using performance data to optimize ongoing social activity and shape future strategies.

Manage day-to-day client relationships, reporting progress to the Onyx Account Director and internal stakeholders.

Serve as a brand ambassador and guardian across all touchpoints.

Deliver exceptional results that drive client retention and growth for Onyx.

What you will bring

Onyx is a start-up business which means we are looking for people with a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit who can play a key role in helping us to create long-term client relationships, drive our business metrics, build an enviable culture and have fun along the way.

In particular we would like you to have;

At least 1-2 years+ proven experience managing communities and building content strategies at an agency or brand (preferably on TikTok)

Fluent in English, with strong working French & German preferred (or at least one of these)

Experience using social scheduling and reporting tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite or Sprinklr

Deep knowledge of culture and what makes communities thrive on TikTok

Strong understanding on social KPIs and community growth strategies

Experience working with creators

Experience working with translation partners is a plus

Excellent written and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt messaging for different audiences

Experience managing client stakeholders and presenting strategy and insights

Degree-educated or equivalent experience

Ability to think and work independently, multi-task and meet deadlines

Adaptability and resilience
