How you will make an impact
The Clinical Educator is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for the assessment, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of educational and clinical initiatives within the area of Oncology Nursing. The role collaborates with members of the Clinical Education and Quality and Safety Education teams to develop learning resources and inform the development of the curriculum. As a Clinical Educator at Cabrini, you will foster a culture of commitment to learning and teaching within Cabrini’s Oncology and Cancer Services.
Key responsibilities include:
7. Delivering, administering and assessing Cabrini's oncology education courses
8. Ensuring the provision of educational resources reflects current evidence-based practice in accordance with Cabrini guidelines, protocols and policies
9. Moderating, updating and evaluating eLearning activities
10. Maintaining collaborative working relationships with the Clinical Support Nurse/s to deliver and assess curriculum
About you
In addition to your passion for delivering exceptional nursing education, you will also have the following:
Educational/Vocational
11. Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA) with NMBA
12. Postgraduate qualification in clinical education or equivalent (or working toward)
13. Postgraduate qualification in Cancer Nursing speciality
Experience
14. Recent experience in an education role
15. eLearning technologies and/or learning management systems
16. Delivery and assessment of formal curriculum
17. Facilitation of simulation
18. Ability to engage and maintain relationships with stakeholders
Knowledge
19. Sound knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and evidence based practice related to area of expertise
20. Principles of teaching and learning
