The Project Analyst is responsible for overseeing and delivering complex commercial projects from inception to completion (or whenever Projects & Partnership team's accountabilities stop). This role bridges the gap between business objectives and project execution, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams, compiling or reviewing business case development, providing specific analytical and economic modelling support, developing and tracking project timelines, managing client and stakeholder relationships, monitoring project financials, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

The Project Analyst plays a critical part in negotiating terms, managing resources, and driving project profitability while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities:

* Clarifying business drivers and commercial objectives, managing Statement of Requirement
* Composing business cases, composing/reviewing economic models and managing project approvals
* Identifying project team members and providing clarity on roles & responsibilities (developing and managing project RACI/RAPID chart)
* Managing project timeline and deliverables
* Managing project budgets and financial forecasts
* Managing risks, identifying potential issues, and implementing mitigation strategies
* Negotiating contract clauses, amendments, and changes in scope with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
* Ensuring timely communication with stakeholders to provide updates and align on project objectives

Essential Education:

Business / Finance Degree or equivalent

Essential Experience /Job Requirements

* End to end project management experience, with a portfolio of successfully delivered projects
* Business case development and economic evaluation experience
* Commercial or finance background with an established track record of performance and delivery
* Contract negotiation experience
* Financial modelling skill

Desirable Criteria:

* Project management qualification
* In-depth knowledge of bp's CVP process and its application
* Strong digital skills, specifically with Excel & Power BI
* Understanding of shipping charterparties and cargo operations
* Experience with new energy vectors and decarbonisation sectors
* Good understanding of shipping industry
