The Role
* Support the social worker in the delivery of high‑quality assessments, reviews, and interventions for individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
* Work collaboratively with individuals, their families, and other professionals to ensure appropriate care and support is in place.
* Contribute to the identification of needs and aspirations of individuals, promoting independence and inclusion within the community.
* Assist in the coordination of services and support packages, ensuring effective communication between all parties involved.
* Provide advice, guidance, and information to individuals and their families regarding available options and resources.

Skills and Attributes
* A genuine passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
* Experience working in a social care setting, ideally within an adult learning disabilities and autism environment.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices relating to learning disabilities and autism.
* Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to identify and address individual needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, and professionals.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
