Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Manchester£45,000 - £50,000 + benefits (depending on experience)
A specialist ground engineering consultancy in Manchester is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer from either a contractor or consultancy background who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.
You will play a key role in delivering complex geotechnical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and helping lead a highly skilled technical team within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
* Leading and managing geotechnical projects from tender through to delivery
* Supervising and mentoring junior engineers and site staff
* Overseeing ground investigations and site operations
* Producing and reviewing factual and interpretive reports
* Providing technical guidance on foundation design and ground solutions
* Client liaison and project management responsibilities
* Supporting team growth and development
Requirements
* Experience in a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or similar role
* Background in either consultancy or contractor environments
* Strong technical knowledge of ground investigation and geotechnical design
* Experience managing projects and leading teams
* Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or related field
* Full UK driving licence
