Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Degree, HNC or equivalent in an appropriate mechanical engineering subject Hold a current, valid (non- provisional) FULL UK MANUAL driving licence Desirable criteria Member of appropriate professional body Experience Essential criteria Be able to produce evidence of working in a mechanical engineering environment Experience of working from drawings and specifications without supervision Desirable criteria Experience of working within the NHS in a medical technology service environment. Awareness of medical equipment guidelines and legislation Skills, ability and knowledge Essential criteria Good knowledge of Microsoft products, able to enter data into equipment management database. Highly skilled in the use of mechanical workshop equipment independently Highly skilled in the use of hand held and power tools. Desirable criteria Knowledge of CAD systems.
