We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracting Solicitor to join our in-house legal team in Leicester. The role offers flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options, and involves negotiating and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts, including MSAs, framework agreements, and other legal issues relevant to professional services.
The successful candidate will:
1. Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
2. Review and improve standard terms of business.
3. Handle various contractual issues, including data-sharing, secondments, and software contracts.
4. Interpret contractual provisions and advise colleagues accordingly.
5. Provide legal input on various contractual situations and risk management issues.
6. Advise on collaboration, referral, and introduction agreements.
7. Collaborate with the General Counsel and risk management teams to support legal advice and risk mitigation.
8. Support and mentor less experienced lawyers.
9. Identify trends in legal risks and suggest modifications to templates and procedures.
10. Educate colleagues on legal and risk issues through training and guidance materials.
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified solicitor or barrister.
* Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
* Knowledge of professional liability law and risk management in professional services.
* Pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Experience managing and developing colleagues.
