About the Role
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Project Manager within the Wessex Cancer Alliance Service Improvement Team.
Role Overview
The post has two main elements:
1. Key data contact: responsible for analysis and interpretation of local, regional and national data, collating information, presenting findings and producing reports for stakeholders.
2. Lead the review of cancer tumour sites across Wessex; shaping, implementing and evaluating new pathways, producing recommendations for service and pathway improvement.
Responsibilities
Review and improve cancer pathways across Wessex, leading projects from scoping to delivery. Use data analysis to produce meaningful reports and insights, collate plans and support Trust teams to implement them. Encourage and engage multidisciplinary teams, keep patients at the centre, collaborate with public groups, build positive relationships and trust, navigate challenging discussions and mitigate risks. Travel regularly across Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Strong experience in data analysis, project management and delivering pathway improvements.
* Expert knowledge of quality improvement and service redesign tools and techniques.
* Ability to work autonomously, shape projects and achieve goals.
* Strong leadership, resilience and effective communication with stakeholders.
* Willingness to travel within the region.
Working Conditions
Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid arrangement with a minimum of two on‑site days per week (Southampton or Dorchester). Meetings across Dorset, Hampshire & the Isle of Wight.
