Ground Segment Systems Engineer (New Missions Onboarding)
We are looking for multiple Ground Segment Systems Engineer (New Missions Onboarding) to complete our consultants Workforce Management Service to support the European Space Agency (ESA) at their location in Harwell, United Kingdom. The purpose of this Support Service is to support the integration of a new Earth Observation Science Mission (e.g., Biomass, FLEX, CHIME, CRISTAL) into operations, from pre-operations activities up to Transfer-to-Operations (TTO), including validation, dry-runs, anomaly handling and readiness reviews.
Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at the interview stage).

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:
* Prepare and maintain the Transfer-to-Operations (TTO) plan (milestones, deliverables, stakeholders);
* Support integration, dry-runs, validation campaigns and operational readiness checks;
* Create and track anomaly reports until closure;
* Ensure procedures and documentation are operationally ready.

Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, System Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics;
* A higher degree is an asset;
* At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering for mission operations or ground segment;
* Experience in integration, validation, and test (IV&V) or operational readiness campaigns;
* Ability to run technical reviews and coordinate multi-party stakeholders;
* Experience in an environment with strict documentation and governance;
* Exposure to EO payload or satellite mission is an asset;
* Knowledge of ITIL or ECSS standards is an asset.
Familiarity with the following Science Missions is an asset:
* Biomass;
* FLEX;
* CHIME;
* CRISTAL;
* Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom;
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
