Great opportunity for a Finance Manager to join established SME business. Reporting to the Finance Director you will be mentored and supported to manage a small team to ensure the timely and accurate management accounts for the group. Qualified ACCA, CIMA you will be technically strong including statutory reporting, liaising with the auditors and working collaboratively with the business. You will develop a dynamic finance team to enhance its position as a strategic partner of the business, supporting decision making financially, commercially and operationally. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage the Finance Department following best practices. * Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts with associated reconciliations to meet the companies’ statutory reporting requirements. * Drive improvements in working capital and cashflow management, forecasting and KPI reporting. * Support and work collaboratively with the project and commercial teams. * Liaise with external auditors, banking and tax/HMRC. * Facilitate the annual financial audit process. * Support with budgeting, planning and forecasting process. * Continually improve and strengthen internal controls and processes. * Support the timely and accurate financial reporting of subsidiary company * VAT returns * Validate, submit and pay CIS monthly submissions to the Inland Revenue. Core Skills & Experience * Proven experience, knowledge and understanding in a similar role plus an accountancy qualification * Qualified ACCA, CIMA * Experience of managing a team * A strong understanding of CIS fundamentals, reporting and submission. * Strong IT skills including Power BI and Sage * Reporting writing skills
