Responsibilities will include:
* Build clear, credible reliability and/or safety cases that balance time, cost, and customer expectations.
* Lead reliability assurance throughout the system lifecycle, ensuring the right level of effort at each stage.
* Deliver a streamlined, risk-based reliability programme that fits the complexity of each system.
* Balance rigorous safety assurance with the operational demands of advanced weapon systems.
* Work closely with a highly skilled team, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
* Develop a deep technical understanding of advanced systems and their operating environments through hands-on project involvement.
What we are looking for in you:
* Detailed understanding and experience of how the hazard analysis and safety evaluation processes integrate with the system engineering process.
* A hands-on experience producing key safety and reliability documents like Safety Case Reports, FMECA, FTA, and reliability predictions.
* A strong grasp of reliability as a development process, with experience in planning, analysis, and testing.
* Be familiar with UK and international systems engineering standards and how to apply them effectively.
* A background in complex electronic systems, with a good handle on their safety and reliability challenges ideally supported by a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
