<div><h3>Position Overview</h3><p>This is a 12 month maternity cover position covering the Head of Event Operations. You will take charge and manage a portfolio of events, from concept through to delivery. Reporting to the Director of Event Operations you will also manage a team, including Operations Managers, who will manage their own portfolio and ensure that all events are delivered effectively, efficiently and within the budget set.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Training and managing team members, and supporting their development. This includes new Managers who will need additional support to ensure they are adapting to their role and effectively supporting their own teams.</li><li>Ensuring all events are delivered effectively, efficiently and within the budget set.</li><li>Forecasting, determining and keeping an accurate record of event spend.</li><li>Negotiate and contract venues for conferences, dinners, drinks receptions and awards ceremonies. Including signing off the teams and your own contracts up to £50,000.</li><li>Produce and file important documentation pertaining to each event including (but not limited to) timelines, contracts, travel plans, checklists and supplier’s details.</li><li>Produce proposals to be delivered to the wider Events team for flagship or as otherwise determined events.</li><li>Determining and keeping an accurate record of event spend on each of our events.</li><li>Demonstrate effective communication with sales, editorial, sponsorship, production and other Centellic departments.</li><li>Taking responsibility for handling issues and troubleshooting any problems, both from the office and onsite, ensuring you have a wide overview of team performance and event status to ensure all problems are dealt with in a timely manner.</li><li>Leading on the running of the portfolio’s flagship events, negotiating high value contracts and complex event management.</li><li>Work with the Director of Event Operations on quarterly cost reconciliation.</li><li>Work with the Director of Event Operations to report quarterly event cost forecasts vs budget where necessary.</li><li>Conduct pre and post event evaluations with stakeholders from across the division and wider business.</li></ul><h3>Skills, Knowledge and Expertise</h3><ul><li>Highly organised, and an ability to work to tight targets and deadlines.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build rapport.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with C-level audience.</li><li>Excellent negotiation skills.</li><li>Proven management skills.</li><li>At least 8-10 years’ experience and proven track record of managing a team and delivering first class paid delegate B2B events and conference.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Start Of Employment
