About The Role
Purpose
This position will contribute to the vision of “exceptional coaching, inspired players, and creating a legacy for the game”. The role involves leading, designing, and implementing targeted programmes. The ECB Coach Development strategy emphasizes ongoing professional development and bespoke learning initiatives. This role will lead, plan, and deliver these programmes.
The programmes will focus on specific coaching groups (e.g., female coaches in the professional game, player-to-coach cohorts, leadership programmes). Strong planning and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a proven track record of leading similar initiatives.
Key responsibilities
* Implement multiple targeted programmes to support the development of coaches and leaders, focusing on areas like female coaching representation, player-to-coach development, and leadership initiatives.
* Collaborate with the Learning Design and Insights lead, Coach Development colleagues, subject matter experts, and professional game leads to ensure programmes are well planned and impactful.
* Apply modern learning design principles to all programmes.
* Work with the Learning Design and Game Insights leads to monitor and evaluate programme impact.
About you
* Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with coaches, leaders, and subject matter experts.
* A solid understanding of adult learning principles to maximize programme design.
* Proven experience in planning and delivering world-class development programmes.
* A desire to evolve and operate at the forefront of people development.
* Experience in monitoring and assessing the impact of development programmes.
* A positive track record in education or people development.
* Understanding of modern learning principles.
* Knowledge of cricket and coaching.
