Overview
Reliability Engineer – Nottingham, United Kingdom. CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a reliability engineer to drive analysis of the performance of the environment and research settings related to mechanical and electrical assets to ensure current and future availability, reliability and maintainability of the environment and critical services that underpin scientific research.
Responsibilities
* Assist on requirements of BSU under a Home Office Research Licence, informing project management and asset replacement of hardware requirements as appropriate.
* Work with maintenance teams and apply general engineering knowledge to solve problems and form remediation plans.
* Perform tests and analysis with shift staff and other operational teams to ensure environmental control is maintained.
* Check new systems or installations.
* Conduct routine engineering calculations.
* Monitor, control and work in partnership with the BMS platform and bureau.
* Support the designation process (M&E information).
* Provide information to contractors and out-of-hours operatives regarding areas currently in use.
* Represent the BSU in contract and project meetings.
* Ensure access and site inductions have been completed for contractors.

* Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
* Vehicle and fuel card provided.
Desired Skills & Experience
* Environmental controls and BMS engineering experience essential.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a technical reliability role or similar, in a research or medical environment.
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of maintenance processes and tools used to analyse and manage asset reliability.
* Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
* Experience working in a scientific research area.
