Job Title: Welder/Fabricator/Fitter Reports to: Fabrication Foreman Location: Anglesey Salary - DOE Context: Offering world-class solutions to factories aiming to simplify procedures. Able to even integrate them into existing production lines to improve speed and accuracy as well as reduce risks. Designing, manufacture and installation of automatic and manual systems at our factories in the United Kingdom, U.S.A. and the Netherlands. Job Purpose: Providing support to production management and craft personnel to deliver a variety of components and activities for the business. To ensure that the site/company standards are maintained within your areas and support other teams with improving and maintaining theirs. To work in conjunction with other members of the Craft team, organising and prioritising workloads of a routine nature on a daily basis Key Responsibilities: * Assembling and welding various components to drawing following a works order/Job Sheet * Resolving problems encountered with fitting and welding such as tolerance issues, heat control and volume production/output constraints. * Check the quality of your work and your colleagues work with various hand measurement equipment such as vernier callipers or gauges performing first offs and sample checks. * Interpreting technical drawings to build various products and compare these against the technical spec. * Deburring many different metal components with pillar drills, linishers, belt sanders and a rumbler * Using press tools both manual and hydraulic to assemble, straighten and press different parts and assemblies together. * Operate various large machinery within the fabrication shop once trained. * Work with the team to improve and be more productive every day. * Setting up jobs for new manufactured parts for welding, fitting, linishing etc… * Supporting the Team Leader when required ensuring the team are focused on the priorities/work of the day and it is processed correctly. * Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company Health and Safety practices and procedures and to understand the importance of risks and methods associated within the departments. * Maintain and cleaning of all work areas to a high standard of housekeeping including all tasks associated within the working area. * To ensure 100% compliance to all standards set by the company and other governing bodies. * Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and written. * Completion of relevant and correct documentations as required. * PPE to be worn at all times without exception. * Breaks to be taken in accordance with terms and conditions of the plant. * To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be requested and are within their competence and experience.
