About the Role As a Support Worker, you will be part of a supportive team helping adults with learning disabilities live fulfilling, independent lives. You will support individuals to achieve their personal goals, ambitions and aspirations. No two days are the same, as everyone you support is unique. Your role may include:
1. Supporting people with daily living and personal care
2. Providing emotional support and encouragement
3. Helping individuals develop new skills
4. Supporting people to manage their home
5. Assisting with leisure activities, employment, hobbies and travel
6. Supporting individuals to access their local community
This is a rewarding role that can be fun and fulfilling, while also being challenging at times. The People You¿ll Support You will be supporting four adults with learning disabilities (One lady and three gentlemen). three individuals are non-verbal and communicate through gestures, vocalisations, body language and facial expressions. Two people use wheelchairs, and two people mobile and benefits from emotional support such as reassurance, praise and patience. Support includes personal care, medication, eating and drinking, and community access. At Thera, we focus on empowering the people we support to be leaders in society and as independent as possible.

10. No previous experience or qualifications required, Free, Skills for Care endorsed full training will be provided
