Municipal Supervisor
Salary – £31,235 - £39,044 per annum
Hours – 40 hours per week
Location & Postcode – Chorley, PR7 4AB
As a Municipal Supervisor at FCC Environment, you will support the safe and efficient delivery of waste and recycling collection services across the Chorley Borough. You’ll help ensure operations run smoothly, legislation is followed, and act as the main point of contact between FCC and the client.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week. Additional overtime may be required to suit business needs.

What will you be doing?
- Supervising collection crews to ensure safe, compliant service delivery
- Supporting health & safety through checks, briefings, and site visits
- Liaising with the client and attending operational meetings
- Planning daily work and recording activity in the CMS
- Supporting absence management, return to work meetings, and basic HR processes
- Completing required depot checks, documentation, and reporting
- Assisting with training, investigations, and operational support as needed
What are we looking for?
- Experience in a supervisory role (waste or transport sector desirable)
- The ability to lead and motivate teams in a safety-focused environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Organised and confident in managing a busy workload
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office/Excel)
- Customer-focused, proactive, and committed to high standards
- An LGV Class C licence (desirable)
