Overview
As the LHGP Project Officer, you will work with academics, researchers and professional colleagues to support the governance structure, coordinate and manage LHGP meetings, workshops and events, and support the delivery of communications for the LHGP project and a national strategy to raise the profile of the commercial determinants of health (CDOH). You will accurately record impact for the LHGP project and support the financial processes of the LHGP project, helping the LHGP Director (and other senior consortium staff) lead the project, including diary management and booking meetings. Based within the Centre for 21st Century Public Health at the University of Bath, you will be joining a friendly and dynamic team of multidisciplinary researchers working at the cutting edge of public health research. This post is offered on a full time basis (36.5 hours per week), for a fixed-term period until 31 March 2028. Travel in the UK to research meetings/events will be required. The post will be located in the Centre for 21st Century Public Health on the University campus where hybrid working is in operation. You will be expected to work on campus a minimum of 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
* Support different groups in the governance structure, which are responsible for deciding the strategy and overseeing operations of the project.
* Coordinate and manage LHGP meetings, workshops and events.
* Support delivery of communications for the LHGP project and a national strategy to raise the profile of the commercial determinants of health (CDOH), including web content creation, newsletter distribution, social media assets and blogs.
* Accurately record impact for the LHGP project.
* Support the financial processes of the LHGP project.
* Support the LHGP Director (and other senior consortium staff) so they can effectively lead the project, such as diary management and booking meetings.
Qualifications and experience
* A confident and efficient administrator with experience of working in a complex environment with multiple stakeholder groups.
* Experience of working with multiple teams and across various management platforms (such as finance, HR and contract systems) with previous work history managing complex budgets.
* Effective communication, high accuracy, and the ability to absorb information about the research project you support.
* Be confident in building relationships with academic colleagues, partners and external stakeholders.
* Knowledge and understanding of the UK health landscape and experience of working with academic and research professionals would be an advantage.
