Croft Hall Surgery is undergoing changes aimed at enhancing the service and patient experience, as well as implementing new, efficient procedures.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GP to join the Croft Hall Team as a Salaried GP, ideally for 6-8 sessions per week, with flexibility for the right candidate. As a partner, you would have the opportunity to influence the practice's development and put your own stamp on it.
Located in Torquay, Devon, an innovative area, our practice is involved in all local initiatives. We are a single urban site by the sea, serving 8,200 patients and actively participating in the Torquay PCN.
Our growing multidisciplinary team includes experienced ANPs, alongside PCN staff such as Pharmacists, Wellbeing Team members, and Physician Associates. We prioritize staff wellbeing and maintain strong communication across teams, structuring workloads to support work-life balance.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will manage a caseload, addressing a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring high standards of care for all patients. You will set an example to others, contribute to education and training, and play a role in service development and target achievement.

Job responsibilities
* Practice as an independent prescriber within your scope of practice
* Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations for minor illnesses
* Provide medication review services, including domiciliary visits to residential and care homes
* Advise and support patients with self-limiting conditions
* Review medications for newly registered patients
* Provide expertise on medication monitoring and system implementation
* Perform targeted medication reviews for high-risk patients
* Reauthorize medications for repeat prescribing within scope
* Identify suitable patients for repeat prescribing and liaise with clinicians
* Implement safe prescribing systems for vulnerable patients
* Support management of patients with drug and alcohol dependencies
* Signpost patients to appropriate healthcare professionals
* Assist with QOF targets
* Serve as the practice's point of contact for medicines-related matters

Qualifications
* Qualified GP
* GMC full registration
* Membership of a recognized defence union (MPS/MDU)
* MRCGP
* Currently on a performers list
* Never been removed from a performers list for detrimental reasons
* DRCOG
* DFP
* DCH
