We are seeking an energetic and valued contributor to manage and develop our Central, Eastern, and Highlands regions! Mitie Landscapes has a new opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our team at the UK’s leading FM company. You will have full responsibility for the day-to-day operations in Grounds Maintenance, winter services, and projects within your regions.
Agile, flexible working is critical to the continuing success of the Landscapes business. The ability to embed performance excellence through an operating model that supports seasonal peaks and out-of-hours customer support is essential.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead your grounds maintenance teams and Contracts Managers, ensuring they deliver excellence daily.
You Will Be Responsible For
1. Constantly striving to improve efficiency and resource utilization.
2. Maximizing operational and financial performance to achieve or exceed budgets.
3. Managing and developing a professional and effective operational team.
4. Ensuring commitment, awareness, and results on QHSE issues.
5. People management and development.
6. Demonstrating excellent customer service.
What We Are Looking For
1. Experience in the horticultural/landscaping industry.
2. Previous management experience.
3. Budget setting and financial management skills.
4. Proficiency with operational IT systems.
5. Knowledge of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality systems.
6. Effective representation skills for internal and external meetings.
7. Leadership, motivation, and team management skills.
8. Commitment to personal and professional development.
