Overview
An excellent opportunity for an entry‑level or newly qualified Physiotherapist, or a practitioner with post‑qualification experience, to join our Physiotherapy service and the wider multidisciplinary teams (MDT) across West of Berkshire. The role is a fixed‑term appointment of 24 months based initially at our Wokingham site, with rotations across inpatient, community and musculoskeletal (MSK) services.
Responsibilities
* Assess, treat and manage the caseload of patients, acting as an autonomous practitioner without the need for direct supervision.
* Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients with diverse or complex presentations, using clinical reasoning, analytical skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis.
* Formulate and deliver individual physiotherapy management plans, utilizing evidence‑based practice and a range of treatment options including manual physiotherapy, patient education, exercise classes and alternative modalities.
* Evaluate patient progress, continually reassess and modify programmes to achieve effective outcomes.
* Manage a designated caseload efficiently, prioritising clinical and administrative responsibilities.
* Engage with rehabilitation, medical, palliative and neurological patients across inpatient, community and MSK settings.
* Supervise junior staff and students where opportunities arise to develop management skills.

Qualifications
1. Degree in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration (or soon to attain).
2. Undergraduate experience working as part of a physiotherapy team and MDT.
3. A passion for working with older adults in a rehabilitation ward setting.
4. Ability to travel efficiently between multiple sites with community work included.
