Carmarthenshire County Council is looking for a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team as a Learner Travel Policy and Development Officer. In this vital position, you will play a key role in upholding our commitment to supporting all learners by developing, implementing, and managing our learner travel policies. Your work will ensure equitable access and safe journeys for every student, including those with Additional Learner Needs. You'll be entrusted with managing sensitive pupil data confidentially, and overseeing assessment and appeals processes with transparency, respect, and empathy.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
* Developing and applying inclusive learner travel policies that reflect our core values of fairness and respect.
* Managing confidential pupil data.
* Overseeing assessment and appeals procedures for both mainstream and ALN learners, engaging with families and stakeholders in a compassionate manner.
* Working closely with schools, families, and external agencies to ensure safe, accessible, and supportive transport arrangements.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant policies, standards, and legislation, contributing to continuous service improvement.

Salary: £28,598 - £32,597
