Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently working with a business based in South Petherton who are looking for an individual to join as an Assistant Accountant for a period of 12 months.
Duration: 12 month Fixed term contract
Start date: November
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 (Depending on experience)
Location: South Petherton - Hybrid working options available
Responsibilities:
* Bank and petty cash reconciliations
* Ensure all financial records are accurately recorded
* Accurately process all invoices for goods provided and payments received on time
* Ensure all supplier invoices are recorded and processed accurately
* Prepare monthly management accounts - P&L, balance sheet, accruals etc (Training will be provided if necessary)
* Prepare financial statements, budgets & reports (Training will be provided if necessary)
* To assist with any other reasonable tasks as required
Skills/experience needed:
* Proven experience in managing both sides of the ledger - As a minimum
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Great communication skills
* Experience in assisting/preparing management accounts - Desirable
* Ideally previously or currently studied AAT/CIMA/ACCA
* Computer literate
* Comfortable using Excel
