Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently working with a business based in South Petherton who are looking for an individual to join as an Assistant Accountant for a period of 12 months.
Duration: 12 month Fixed term contract
Start date: November
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 (Depending on experience)
Location: South Petherton - Hybrid working options available
Responsibilities:
1. Bank and petty cash reconciliations
2. Ensure all financial records are accurately recorded
3. Accurately process all invoices for goods provided and payments received on time
4. Ensure all supplier invoices are recorded and processed accurately
5. Prepare monthly management accounts - P&L, balance sheet, accruals etc (Training will be provided if necessary)
6. Prepare financial statements, budgets & reports (Training will be provided if necessary)
7. To assist with any other reasonable tasks as required
Skills/experience needed:
8. Proven experience in managing both sides of the ledger - As a minimum
9. Ability to work on own initiative
10. Great communication skills
11. Experience in assisting/preparing management accounts - Desirable
12. Ideally previously or currently studied AAT/CIMA/ACCA
13. Computer literate
14. Comfortable using Excel
