Are you ready to lead transformation and shape the future of a thriving district?
South Derbyshire District Council is seeking an exceptional leader to join our Management Team as Head of Transformation.
With a bold and ambitious Council Plan, we are committed to building a sustainable environment, driving economic growth, and delivering outstanding services to our communities. This is your opportunity to lead our transformation agenda, ensuring the Council is ready to meet future challenges and deliver innovative, efficient services.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional with a passion for change who can lead a transformation agenda that reaches every corner of the organisation. You will own and refresh our Transformation Strategy, strengthen our project and programme management discipline, and champion a culture where continuous improvement, curiosity and collaboration become the norm. Central to the role will be the overhaul of our PMO approach - ensuring services receive the support, insight and challenge needed to deliver change well. You will also provide leadership for both Transformation and ICT teams, ensuring our digital and technical foundations remain secure, resilient and aligned to our future ambitions.
You will be an influential communicator, able to engage Members, partners and staff with a compelling transformation narrative, and work confidently with senior leaders to tackle service reviews, performance challenges and strategic priorities. You will also help the organisation prepare for future Local Government Reorganisation, contribute to our Sustainable Finance Programme, and act as a connector across services - bringing coherence to behaviours, systems and processes.
