We’re looking for a skilled Brake Press Operator to join a busy fabrication team in East Kilbride. This is a hands-on production role for someone who takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality components and who enjoys working as part of a practical, improvement-focused team. The role is offered on a permanent basis Mon-Thu with a rewarding hourly rate.
Role overview
You will set up and run press brake machinery to produce parts to customer specifications. The role requires careful interpretation of engineering drawings, consistent attention to tolerances and quality, plus a practical approach to machine care and continuous improvement.
Key duties

Prepare and set up press brake machines and tooling for each job.
*
Operate press brakes to manufacture components to specification.
*
Read and apply engineering drawings and tolerance requirements.
*
Inspect finished parts and carry out quality checks.
*
Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance (daily/weekly/monthly).
*
Support new product introductions and process improvements.
*
Maintain excellent housekeeping around machines and work areas.
*
Follow company health & safety procedures at all times.
*
Be adaptable and prepared to help in other areas of the workshop when needed.

Comfortable selecting and fitting tooling for different jobs.

Able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
