Overview
Band 8b Clinical/Counselling Psychologist - 1.0wte - Community Mental Health Team (Psychosis). This role supports adults in the community with significant mental health problems including psychosis, within Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT).
Job Responsibilities
* Join senior colleagues in delivering leadership in psychology provision within the team and contribute to Trust-wide service development.
* Work principally with people with complex difficulties and their families, delivering recovery-focused interventions in the community.
* Promote values that support recovery, maximize potential, and reduce social exclusion, stigma, and disabling effects of psychosis.
* Support Clinical Psychology trainees, Clinical Associates in Psychology, and other practitioners in their training and development.
* Engage in research activities and support the Trust\'s research vision.
* Provide psychological interventions for psychosis and demonstrate good risk management skills.
* Apply cognitive-behavioural models to psychosis; interests in ACT, Compassion Focused Therapy, and EMDR are welcome.
* Hold HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (clinical or counselling); BABCP accreditation or evidence of CBT training is advantageous; commitment to CBT for psychosis training is highly desirable.
* Travel across a large geographical area during the working day and work flexibly to meet client needs.

* Pay scheme: Agenda for Change; Band 8b; Salary £64,455 to £74,896 per year pro rata.

Requirements
* Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology (HCPC-approved) including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, two or more psychological therapies, and lifespan development psychology.
* Post-doctoral training in additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
* Professional registration with HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist (clinical or counselling).
* Knowledge of research design and methodology; high-level knowledge of theory and practice of at least two specialised psychological therapies.
* Excellent communication skills, ability to provide consultation, and capacity to teach/train others using complex materials.
* Willingness to travel throughout the Trust and work flexibly to meet client needs.
* Desirable: BABCP accreditation or completed BABCP-accredited CBT training; commitment to CBT for psychosis.
* UK registration required.
