EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineer and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall.
We’re looking for an Environmental Advisor to join our Greatworth to Southam Delivery Area based from our Southam Office. This role requires regular travel to sites within the Delivery Area. A full driving licence is required.
The Environmental Advisor will support the Environment Manager to deliver the HS2 contract requirements relating to environmental management. Responsibilities include undertaking site monitoring to ensure compliance with noise trigger levels and water quality discharge consent conditions, supporting the supply chain in delivering HS2 contractual requirements, identifying opportunities for implementing best practice and innovation to achieve cost and programme efficiencies and risk mitigation, recording achievements in best practice case studies, providing key contact for project managers in geographic areas, supporting the environment manager in communication with external stakeholders including consent granting bodies, undertaking assurance activities in accordance with EKFB management processes such as document control, audit, non‑conformance, surveillance inspections and incidents, supporting suppliers to ensure timely and accurate sustainability, vehicle and plant use data, providing specialist advice on HS2 contractual environmental requirements, EKFB management processes and other legal requirements, and coordinating training and awareness briefings for EKFB colleagues and suppliers.
About You
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work within a team and be flexible
* Accuracy of work and attention to detail
* Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, working towards IEMA practitioner level (or similar)
* Willingness to undertake site inspections, monitoring and sampling on a civil engineering site
* Must hold a full valid UK drivers licence
* Must have a valid CSCS card (Black, White, White/Yellow)
