Construction Manager - HVDC / Transmission Infrastructure An opportunity is available for a Construction Manager to support the delivery of major HVDC transmission infrastructure projects as part of a long-term strategic investment programme. The role is site-based and focused on the delivery of civils works packages associated with onshore AC substations and HVDC converter stations, working closely with project and multi-disciplinary delivery teams and framework contractors. Key Responsibilities: Act as the principal site-based point of contact, representing the client organisation on site Ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with statutory, legal and CDM 2015 requirements Coordinate contractors and subcontractors to deliver works to programme and agreed quality standards Monitor compliance with planning consents, health & safety legislation and site KPIs Maintain effective relationships with contractors, suppliers and local stakeholders while promoting a strong safety culture Experience & Knowledge: Proven experience in on-site construction management within civils or infrastructure works Experience delivering electricity transmission infrastructure (AC substations or HVDC converter stations) highly desirable Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and CDM 2015 Experience managing multiple contractors and monitoring quality through inspection and test plans Full UK driving licence required due to site travel Guidant, Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
