Position: Regional Sales Manager, EMEA
Department: Knowles Precision Devices Sales & Marketing
Reports to: Sr. Director of Global Sales
The Regional Sales Manager EMEA is mainly responsible for growing sales in the EMEA region through developing business in the industrial market and managing rep/distributor partners. This position has no immediate direct reports and reports to the Sr. Director of Global Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define both the potential and existing industrial accounts. Develop a strategic plan that will position the company's services and products to maximize market share.
* Provide support to reps and distributors based on knowledge of products and applications.
* Monitor the results of sales activities against planned objectives and report the results to senior management.
* Build long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
* Identify and communicate customer product and technology requirements to appropriate Product and R&D personnel.
* Achieve assigned sales, account development, and other targets.
* Participate in sales negotiations with major customers.
* Develop forecasting plans.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
* Thorough understanding of the industrial market of EMEA.
* Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation and negotiation.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
* Advanced knowledge of consultative sales approach and closing techniques.
* Ability to prepare complex written reports and documents.
* Proven record of successful team leadership is preferred.
* Must be able to travel between home and various domestic customer locations (expected travel approximately 50%+).
* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s Degree or MBA preferred).
* 8+ years’ experience in components/systems sales for OEMs.
