Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team across Design, Engineering, and R&D. Your Role and Impact As R&D Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of the technical roadmap, leading feasibility studies, New Product Introduction (NPI), and design control initiatives. You’ll be responsible for embedding robust design governance, streamlining workflows, and ensuring that all products meet relevant regulatory standards such as ISO45001. You’ll work closely with internal teams, including manufacturing, quality, and commercial; as well as external stakeholders and regulatory bodies. Your ability to manage complex projects, mentor technical teams, and drive strategic outcomes will be key to the success of this role. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a candidate with a proven track record in technical leadership within regulated engineering or manufacturing environments. You should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline, or have equivalent industry experience. Ideally, you’ll bring significant experience in R&D or technical management roles, with deep expertise in product lifecycle management, DfM, and quality systems. Strong knowledge of design control processes, regulatory compliance, and process standardisation is essential.
