Are you a qualified or unqualified teacher with strong classroom presence and a passion for supporting students across a variety of subjects? Are you looking for flexible, ongoing opportunities in secondary education?
Supply Desk are working in partnership with a number of large, inclusive, and supportive secondary schools in Medway, who are actively seeking regular general cover staff to work across Key Stages 3 and 4.
These schools value consistency, reliability, and a positive attitude, and are eager to build lasting relationships with dedicated supply staff who can contribute to a calm and effective learning environment.
The Role
You’ll be stepping into classes with pre-prepared work, maintaining routines, and supporting students’ learning in the absence of their usual teacher. You may be covering a range of subjects across the week, so a flexible and resilient approach is essential.
Responsibilities
* Delivering pre-set lessons confidently across various subjects (no planning required)
* Managing classroom behaviour using effective, respectful strategies
* Engaging students and supporting their progress
* Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
* Reporting on student engagement and behaviour as required
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from:
* Qualified teachers (QTS or QTLS)
* Unqualified teachers with secondary school experience
* Cover Supervisors or graduates with strong subject knowledge and classroom confidence

* Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced school environments
* A proactive, dynamic, and calm approach to teaching and learning
* Commitment to safeguarding and supporting student wellbeing
* Ability to build rapport quickly and professionally with staff and students
