We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Band 4 Registered Nurse Associate to join our team at Hemel Hempstead Hospital, Outpatient Department.
This position require flexibility working Monday-Friday excluding bank holidays, between 4-5 days, based on the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking Band 4 to join our friendly and dynamic team with a wide interest in Outpatient Nursing.
The applicant ideally should have post registration experience as a Band 4, with good communication and organisational skills.
They will support junior staff and mentor/support student nurses in placement.
The applicant will contribute and engage in maintaining /improving and developing the high standards of patient care we deliver within the department supporting the Managers and team. Thereby ensuring that patient is treated with privacy, dignity, and respect.
The applicant ideally should have some experience/knowledge supporting and assisting with minor surgery in the Dermatology clinic or willing to develop the skills within the Department to support the service we provide.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will have an opportunity to work with the Multidisciplinary Team within the Department, which will broaden your knowledge in many areas.
To meet and greet patients on arrival.
To communicate with patients and staff .
To check patient’s vital signs and set up clinics.
To assist and chaperone clinicians in various medical procedures such as minor surgery and diagnostic tests.
To lead and provide good leadership by supervising and supporting junior staff/new starters including student Nurses in placement,
Promoting multidisciplinary working and facilitate a supportive learning environment.
To ensure patients and their relatives/carers understand the outcome of consultations/treatment and progress and discharge plan after care.
