Clinical Lead Nurse – Mayflower Care Home, Northfleet (DA11 7DX)
Contract: 6‑month fixed term; Salary: up to £55,000 per annum (pro‑rated for 6 months); Shift type: days; Hours: 40 per week.
Overview
This is a hands‑on Clinical Lead role that requires being present on the floor, supporting nursing staff, guiding decision‑making and ensuring safe, high‑quality care. The role is not desk‑based and involves stability, visibility and strong clinical direction.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the clinical lead on the floor, championing best practice and high standards of care.
* Provide hands‑on support and guidance to the nursing team.
* Identify and address risks, identify areas for improvement and drive safety initiatives.
* Ensure medication safety and compliance.
* Model and embed what ‘good care’ looks like in practice.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
* Strong clinical background with solid fundamentals.
* Experience in a senior nursing or clinical leadership role within a care home setting.
* Visible, approachable leader who leads by example.
* Comfortable working in a service that requires stability, structure and direction.
* Proactive, calm under pressure, and able to quickly build trust with teams and stakeholders.
