As a Project Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering the University’s strategic aligned projects, IT infrastructure, digital products and services, working on complex projects that span academic departments and professional services. Reporting to the Head of PMO within the DDaT PMO office, you’ll have the opportunity to manage projects that enhance the university's future direction. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of projects from requirements gathering and drafting the business case to defining the solution that meets our user’s needs, budget management, and delivery schedule, ensuring best in class delivery through to the in-life management process.
The Role Holder Will Require
Role holder will require a passion for managing projects and an ability to inspire and engage others, proven experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across diverse teams, a commitment to continuous improvement and helping the University achieve its ambitious goals, the agility and flexibility to respond positively to changing factors and priorities, and a proactive, positive and engaging solution-focused approach.
Contract: This is a 16-month fixed-term position focused on delivery of Windows 11 across the university alongside developing an IT Asset Management capability.
Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end delivery of IT and asset management projects, from requirements gathering to delivering the solution and in-life management.
* Coordinate with academic departments and professional services to meet users’ needs within budget and schedule constraints.
* Lead governance and reporting to the PMO and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
* Identify risks and mitigations; implement continuous improvement to project delivery.
* Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to align with university strategy.
